Born in Parsa, Romania, he studied at the Timi soara and Bucharest Conservatoires becoming later the chorus master of the Children 's Palace Choir. Then he became chorus master of the National Opera from Bucharest rising the artistic level of this ensemble to international standards. He participated in staging over 100 opera titles, many times being appreciated the most " active " character of a performance, during the regular opera season and in the tours of ONB in Paris, Athena, Moscow, in UK, Germany, Austria, Holland, Japan, Thailand etc. The repertory is extremely diverse and even difficult. The choir including now 100 members. It also performed independent concerts with carols, à cappella works or famous opera choruses, some of them being recorded at Electrecord where the chorus recorded also some complete operas.
