Born in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania, he graduated from the Theatre and Cinematography Art University in Bucharest. He became an actor at the National Theatre in Bucharest where he performed in plays by Shakespeare, Holberg, Treadwell, Goldman, Caragiale, D. Sa raru, directed by Lucian Giurchescu, Alexandru Hausvater, Gelu Colceag, Grigore Gonta, Felix Alexa, Petre Bokor. He has also performed in moving pictures directed by Nae Caranfil and Constantin Dicu. He received various awards and prizes:The Award for Best Actor at the Young Actor Gala - Mangalia 2001, The Popularity Award (together with Tetra Pak at Tibco 1996), First Prize in the advertising campaign at Romexpo 2001, as well as Chevalier of the " Cultural Merit " Order awarded by the President of Romania in 2004.
